Summer Intensive Training
The advantages of intensive training
The Moving Arts Dance Center's Giselle Summer Intensive features a faculty that are professional dancers, who can take your dancing to the next stage, and who can help you get connected to the professional dance world.
A performance program, there are rehearsals daily to learn and create dances, as well as for Giselle, Both pointe and barefooted parts are available in Giselle.
In the Giselle Summer Intensive, dancers will dedicate themselves to dance for five weeks. Classes begin at 9:30, with lunch at 12:30, then classes again until 3:00. From 3:00 to 5:00 dancers can take the Composition Workshop, for those who wish to choreograph and perform their own dance. For maximum benefit, it is highly recommended that students enroll in both the Giselle performance training and the Composition Intensive.
Audition
Students may audition in-person or by video. Registration will continue until all spaces are filled. Enrollment is limited, early registration is recommended.
Housing
Moving Arts Dance will make an effort to assist out-of-town students to find housing. Often students' families will rent a room in their home to summer students for between $100 and $150 a week.
